The Lions take to the road today (face off 6.45pm) as they meet the Blaze for the third time this season. To date the Lions have achieved two wins against the Blaze with a 1-3 result at the Skydome and a 10-2 result at the National Ice Centre.
The Blaze have managed to run some teams close but to date have struggled to get the results that their efforts deserve. The Blaze, although losing the games have run all of the top four teams quite close, but the winning line just proved elusive and therefore out of reach.
The Blaze have managed a couple of home wins with one against Bradford Bulldogs early in the season and their second win came against Hull Jets on 9 January so they are capable of grabbing the odd win at home.
At various times this season the un-fancied teams have turned over the supposed stronger teams so nothing should be taken for granted with any of the teams at the latter end of the conference table. This could prove to be a harder game than form might predict, but hopefully the guys achieve an away win to ensure that the Lions stay in touch with the conference leaders.
