The Lions are pleased to announce the return of youngster Michael Rose to the pride for the forthcoming 2013/14 season.

Mikey Rose and Hull’s Brett Chapman ‘dropping the gloves’.

Michael, who normally plies his trade as a right-winger but played in virtually every position last season, featured in all 24 of Nottingham’s games in their championship winning 2012/13 season and finished as fourth-top points scorer with 17 goals and 24 assists.

The 21 year-old joins the likes of Joe Wightman and Luke Thomas who have both re-signed for the Lions’ second season in NIHL Division 2 North and Head Coach Matt Bradbury was clearly delighted to have ‘Mikey’ on board for the new campaign and knows their is still more to come from the sprightly winger; saying,

“We spoke at the start of last season and he made some important changes to his game and style of play which made him have so much more influence during games”

“He had a consistent season last year and scored some crucial points.”

“I still believe Mikey has so much more to offer in the points scoring department. As the off season came along so much sooner this year Mikey has had more of a rest and time off the ice and I’m sure come season time he’ll be in good shape and raring to go”.

Michael will be wearing the number 23 jersey for the forthcoming season.

Keep an eye on for more exciting signing announcements coming soon!
