The Nottingham Lions a delighted to announce the return of defenceman Jack Baveystock for the 2013/14 season.
The twenty year-old, University of Nottingham student has committed to the Lions for a third season, after playing an integral part in last season’s league championship winning team.
The former Bracknell junior joined Nottingham at the start of the 2011/12 season where he picked up three assists from twenty-one games, before claiming three goals and ten assists from twenty-four apperances during the Lions’ previous campaign.
Head Coach Matt Bradbury spoke to nottinghamlions.co.uk about Jack’s return this week; saying,
“I’m pleased to see ‘Bavey’ back this season he’s a likeable member of the team that gets on with everyone – on the ice he’s a big strong player that’s in good shape, skates well and has nice composure on the puck.”
“We’ve spoken about areas of his game where he can improve and I’m sure he’ll take this on board, knuckle down and be another asset for the forthcoming season.”
Baveystock’s first action of the new season will come at Blackburn Ice Arena against the Eagles this coming Saturday (7th September) with a 5.45pm face off.
The Lions’ first home action in the all-new Laidler Conference takes place at the National Ice Centre on Sunday September 15th (7.30pm). Ticket details for this much-anticipated, local derby clash are available here.
