The Nottingham Lions host the Hull Jets at the National Ice Centre this Sunday and with last month's convincing 7-1 home victory over the Jets still fresh in everybody's memory, it will take a more versaitile performance from the visitors to wreak revenge upon the Lions' pride this time around.
Ben Foster-Wilson celebrates a goal against the Jets last month.
Last Sunday's confident 17-3 win over the Bradford Bulldogs will help ensure Matt Bradbury’s men enter the game with a winning state of mind. The Lions have demonstrated their ability to win games and now they need to build upon that by stringing victories together. Nottingham performed well last weekend, despite missing the likes of Dan Hazeldine, Luke Thomas and Reece Glossop, who all may be able to return to the roster over the coming days.
Hull have had a similar run of form to the Lions and currently sit two-points below Nottingham in the league standings, in eighth position. Not having had a game since that 7-1 loss at the NIC in the middle of November, the break will have allowed them the time to lick their wounds and prepare for Sundays fixture with the benefit of a well-rested bench.
The Panthers are away this weekend both Saturday and Sunday, so if you fancy a hockey fix, head down to the NIC on Sunday night. Face off is at 7.30pm and ticket details are available by clicking here.
