Redemption and a chance to acquire two points lie in Wales on Sunday evening, as the Lions travel to Deeside to face the Dragons, in the latest chapter of their Laidler D2 2014/15 campaign.

Last weekend saw two games with opposing fortunes for Matt Bradbury’s men. A trip to Hull yielded two points for the Lions in a confident 4-2 win, whilst Sunday saw the score flipped at the National Ice Centre when the Dragons came to town and handed Nottingham a 4-2 loss. Both games were quickly entered into the history books as the Lions faced the GB Under-20’s on Tuesday, a heavy defeat ensued against the future British stars but the Lions held their heads high and played to the final minute whilst banking valuable experience for the future.

The Deeside Dragons have also been busy this last week, they will have played four games in nine days by time the buzzer sounds on Sunday night. Defeat to the Sheffield Senators followed by victory against the Lions bagged them their own two point weekend and prior to hosting the Lions on Sunday they hit the road to Widnes to face off against the Wild.

In a game where the two points could see both teams make gains in the standing the Lions could be bolstered if Reece Glossop, Christy Johnson-Brown, Conor Gordon or Joe Humphries return from injury.

The Lions enter this game with bitter memories of last Sunday, with the intent to make amends for the mistakes made during the 4-2 defeat, a big performance will be the only way to secure victory as the Dragons’ confidence will be buoyed by the previous result.

Face off is at 6:45pm and if you can't make the journey to roar on the boys, don't forget you can keep updated with all the action as it happens by following the Lions official Twitter feed.
