The Nottingham Lions are delighted to announce the signing of former GB Roller Hockey international Jack Clarkson.

The 22 year old right-winger signed up for the rest of the season after training on Thursday night.

Lions Head Coach Matt Bradbury seemed delighted to bring Jack into the fold saying – “I’m looking forward to linking up with Jack, he fitted straight in with all the other players which is important at this time of the season”.

Bradbury also spoke about Clarkson’s transition from Roller Hockey adding - ”Jack’s in great shape, he has some work to do with his skating, but what he can do with his hands is what interests me most – he shoots well, has good stick skills”.

Jack does have previous experience on the ice having played junior hockey for Birmingham Rockets and Telford Tigers but then moved on to play for the Norton Cyclones roller team.

The Loughborough University student made an immediate impression on his debut in Sunday’s loss to Whitley Warriors scoring twice and after the game Jack had time to have a quick chat to LionsTV.

You can watch Jack’s full interview on LionsTV – our very own online TV channel.
