The Nottingham Lions are pleased to announce the re-signing of all time leading player in games played Ben Wood.
The 30 year old left winger has been with the Nottingham Ice Hockey Club set up since U16 level apart from two years out at Sutton and Sheffield and was part of the Lions side that won the NIHL2 championship in 2013. Last season he played seven games for the Lions scoring six points.
Speaking of Wood’s return, Head Coach of the Nottingham Lions Matt Bradbury said: “Ben has been around the game as long as I can remember and he has always been a solid team player both on and off the ice and he’s never let us down. Its great to see him with so much energy and definitely from what I’ve seen in pre-season so much still to offer the team and his team mates – he’s a real competitor and its great to have him around.”
