The Nottingham Lions will begin their 2012/13 NIHL Division 2 North campaign with a trip to the seaside as they take on Fylde Flyers at the Sub-Zero Ice Rink on Saturday 1st September.

Fixtures for all NIHL divisions were released today by the EIHA and as in previous seasons, the Lions will play all their opponents twice at home and twice away.

Matt Bradbury’s side return from the Lancashire coast for their first home game of the season against Hull Stingrays at the National Ice Centre on Sunday 16th September. This clash will have certainly caught the eye of former Hull winger Michael Rose and should see home debuts from the likes of Simon Hunt and Luke Thomas.

The Lions end the year with a home tie against the Sheffield Senators on Sunday 16th December before returning from their festive break on Saturday 12th January to take on the Senators at Ice Sheffield.

A double-header with local rivals Solihull Barrons should see a thrilling end to Nottingham’s regular season with the Lions traveling to the West Midlands on Sunday 24th March before the Barons head up to Lace City a week later on the 31st.
